This 36 m² room, formely a 18th century kitchen and dining room, is the first meeting place of the house. Private entry of our hosts, this bright room has direct access to the big terrace surrounding the manor house. The old red pine stair case leads to the bedrooms on the first floor. One door opens on the big sitting room while the other door opens on the billard room.
Authenticity can be felt in the original "potager Charentais" which is the cooker's ancestor dating approximately from 1765, in the old remaining stones on the floor, in the brown beams and woodworks, in the stone walls, in the old hand made glazing and handles of the doors, in the fountain in the wall. Decoration looks both rustic as a farm and convivial as a warm country bar with its woodstove, its thick elm bar with stools, its long farm table, its antic curtains...
Breakfast is shared around the big table. The kitchen corner allows you to make a tea or prepare your baby's meal, or a snack when we don't cook dinners. You can also enjoy a glass of Pineau des Charentes or an old Cognac (for sale here).
Regional documentation and shop are available as well as a basket full of toys and a blackboard for your children.
